#420quarantine

It’s A 4/20 Quarantine Isolation Celebration!

This April 20th is different than anyone anticipated. Since the notorious annual 420 holiday began, it’s been a day to come together and celebrate cannabis. It’s heartbreaking 2020’s 420 is drastically hindered, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be observed. There are still plenty of fun ways to celebrate while staying home!

Have a Virtual Sesh

Businesses and organizations have shifted gears to offer the cannabis community plenty of alternatives to music festivals and parties. Virtual celebrations abound, both nearby and nationally.

Enjoy cannabis in the Chattanooga area while learning a new skill. Join The Bitter Bottle’s online presentation “CBD Cocktails” on the 20th to discover the hows and whys behind combining CBD and alcohol. Learn to make a relaxing new mixed drink while you do!

Or download Hello MD’s Daily Bonfire app to enter the #420challenge and possibly win $420! The app’s Go Live feature allows adults to submit original cannabis videos within five different categories. Then share your submission with friends and family for a chance to win. Or sit back and enjoy watching everyone else’s videos to see who wins.

Watch Weedmaps’ “Higher Together: Sessions From Home,” live-streamed concert. From noon to five on April 20th enjoy a variety of musicians – ranging from Wiz Khalifa to Billy Ray Cyrus. Keep the circle strong and sesh virtually with people from all over the world!

That’s What Friends Are For

You and your friend’s big holiday plans now canceled? Or maybe you’re being responsible and not getting together? Build an old-school style childhood blanket fort and hotbox it! Use a virtual face-to-face app like Zoom, Skype, What’s App, whatever, to share with each other from your tiny smoke room. Screenshot it and share it with the world by using the #420quarantine tag.

Blanket fort too claustrophobic? April 20th Netflix is releasing the premiere of Cooked with Cannabis – a competition cooking show hosted by Kelis. Perhaps you’ll even pick up a great new milkshake recipe. Just remember if your infusion brings anyone to the yard they have to stay six feet away!

With the Netflix Party Chrome-extension, watch the premiere with all of your friends, playing, pausing, or chatting on the sidebar together. Next, continue the party with your crew by watching stoner classics like Cheech and Chong’s Up In Smoke, or Mac and Devin Go To High School

For the Lone Wolves

You’re an introvert, doing just fine, thank you, being isolated? But you also appreciate cannabis? There are lots of ways to celebrate the holiday all by yourself.

TheWeedTube, created by like-minded people who were ousted from YouTube for their cannabis content, is a great rabbit-hole. Spend the day laughing, learning, and feeling Irie! YouTube itself is an option. Partake in your favorite product and watch a tutorial. Learn a new skill or create a piece of art as a hallmark in honor of the day.

Download a cannabis-themed game. Revitalize a run-down dispensary in Weed Shop, or tend crops from seed to harvest with a game like Wiz Khalifa’s Weed Farm

A quiet bookworm by nature? Get your holiday on with literature, too! Jack Herer’s “The Emporer Wears No Clothes” is considered the bible of the cannabis movement, and free to read. If you want to get really heavy, there’s Peter McWilliams’ “Ain’t Nobody’s Business If You Do: The Absurdity of Consensual Crimes in a Free Society.” Celebrate by planning ways to change the world!

However you choose to celebrate this year’s 420, remember while you may be isolated, you are far from alone. Check out #420quarantine tags if you want a reminder. Even dress up in your favorite cannabis-themed costume an add some tags of your own!

A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.
